How to use Photon

Photon is different to trade with Photon you need to sign up at there web interface in order to trade your Base tokens. Once you signed up you can swap your cbETH to any token you can find on there live pair section. Unfortunately Photon does not have any tutorials available but they do have very clear documentation which can be found on this page as well.

How to use Photon on Base

Start with Photon on Base

First thing you would need to do is visit the Photon website. Connect with Photon thru your wallet. Incase you haven’t got a wallet download MetaMask or another supported wallet to connect with Photon.

Next up is generate and download your Photon wallet. By clicking generate it will create your wallet and you will be able to access your private key. Safe this info, since Photon shows this only once!

Next step is adding funds to your Photon Base trading account. You can add funds to your account by clicking on your balance at the right top of the screen. Where you will be redirected to your cbETH wallet.

How to add funds to your Photon Base wallet

By tapping on your balance on desktop you can see your wallet address and add funds to your account. By tapping the menu button located at the right top corner you can click on settings to reveal your wallet address and deposit cbETH into your Photon trading account.

How to export your private key with Photon

It is not possible to retrieve your private key with Photon, the only time your private key will be visible is when you create your wallet. For this reason it is highly important to safe or write this private key down somewhere.

How to get cbETH so I can trade on Base

In order to trade on the Base network you would need to bridge some of your crypto to cbETH. We recommand to bridge your funds at the official base website, however you can also choose another bridge service.
